About
Tech-Noid Systems started back in 2008 as an IRC network hosting chat and control channels for a handful of internet radio projects and electronics groups I was part of. After leaving techno-dnb.com radio that year, I launched a streaming feed on the original TNS site — it ran until around 2014 before hardware issues took it offline.
I relaunched the project during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, first as a podcast and now as a bass music and visual collective built around streaming and live electronic music shows — DnB, halftime, techno, and breaks.
The collective has its own soundsystem now — QSC-based, and built to be moved. It’s what the day parties run on, and it’s the reason a monthly at a local venue is a real conversation instead of a wish.
TNS is also where I build the tooling behind the streams. The latest is obs-radio-output, a native OBS Studio plugin that streams audio straight to Icecast/SHOUTcast servers — no separate broadcast software in the chain. The website recently got a full relaunch on a custom theme, too.
